A Little About Me
Hi! I’m Pearl, a proud mom to my daughter, Mirai. (Yes, her name is Japanese—I ugly-cried after watching Mirai no Mirai, and days later, I found out I was pregnant! 😂) Being a Virtual Assistant while raising a child has been an incredible journey, and I want to remind fellow parent VAs that you’re not alone.
The Struggles Are Real, But So Is Your Strength
Working from home doesn’t always mean working in peace. It’s answering emails while preparing snacks, managing schedules while handling tantrums, and attending Zoom meetings with a toddler on your lap. Late nights, early mornings—it’s a juggling act. But here’s the truth—you are enough. The love and dedication you pour into both roles are powerful.
And let’s not forget the ultimate multitasking skill: muting yourself just in time before your child yells, “Mommy, I need to poop!” No corporate training prepares you for that!
During training with Miss Joraine, I once had to turn off my cam to care for my baby. I was amazed at how understanding everyone was. I started working with my baby on my lap every night, but now, she sleeps on her own—a small but meaningful reminder that things get better with time.
Why Being a VA is a Blessing for Parents

While balancing work and parenting is tough, being a VA also provides:
Flexibility – Work around your child’s schedule.
More Time at Home – Be present for milestones, playtime, and bedtime stories.
Growth & Stability – Earn while honing skills that open career opportunities.
It Takes a Village—You Are Not Alone
Parenting isn’t a solo journey. Having support—whether from a partner, family, or friends—makes all the difference.
I’m incredibly blessed with a hardworking husband who not only supports me but also shares in every aspect of our family life. We work as a team—balancing tasks, housework, and even finances. His money is his, mine is mine, but together, we make sure everything gets covered, and more importantly, we make sure our family thrives. When it comes to parenting, we share the responsibility of

disciplining our daughter—sometimes I'm the "bad cop," sometimes he is. But it’s not
about who plays the role; it’s about the balance we create. It teaches consistency and respect in our household, and it’s a beautiful thing to witness as we both show our daughter that guidance and decision-making are shared equally. We each bring something unique to the table, and together, we create a loving, supportive environment for our little one.
To all the single moms and dads—you are incredible. You’re doing double the work with double the love. Remember, it’s okay to ask for help. Lean on family, friends, and fellow VAs when needed. Your strength is inspiring, and you are never alone in this journey. Many VAs are parents just like you, balancing their careers and families. We’re all in this together, and support is always within reach.
Tips for Managing Parenthood and VA Life

Enjoy the moment – They grow up fast, so savor each stage and celebrate the little things as they happen.
Take breaks without guilt – You deserve time to recharge. A well-rested mind is far more effective and productive, so don’t be afraid to take a step back when needed.
Ask for help – We all need support, so don’t hesitate to lean on your family, friends, or fellow VAs when life gets overwhelming.
Advice from Miss Kat (Our CEO): As a full-time mom herself, Miss Kat reminds us that balancing both worlds is not only possible but completely normal. She always says, “Just practice managing your time,” and leads by example. Her approach shows that it’s okay to juggle both roles with grace, flexibility, and self-compassion.
You’ve Got This!
I remember not being able to afford things my baby liked. Now, every time we go out, I spoil her—maybe making up for lost time (or bribing her to stay cute and cuddly forever 😆). She means the world to me, and being a VA has allowed me to give her a better life.

So, to all the moms (and dads!) working as Virtual Assistants—keep going. Your sacrifices matter, your strength is inspiring, and you prove that parents can thrive in this career while being loving, dedicated figures in their children’s lives.
You've got this! 💪✨
If my journey resonates with you and you’re thinking of joining OLIVIA Pros, go for it! You never know how far you can go until you take that first step. 🚀
